Kixx re-establishes itself as

In 2012, the company receives an award from the Korean government for reaching $25 billion in exports.
In March, the company formerly known as LG-Caltex Oil Refinery becomes GS Caltex. Six months later, GS Caltex introduces Kixx – a new lubricant brand for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles.
A new lube oil blending plant commences operations in Incheon, west of Seoul. The 80,000-square-meter plant is roughly
the size of 11 soccer fields, and produces 9,000 barrels
of lubricants per day, as well as 8,000 tons of grease per year.
Korea’s first private oil refinery, and the company that will one day become GS Caltex, is officially incorporated in Seoul as Honam Oil Refinery, Ltd.
A joint venture agreement is signed between
Korea’s Lucky Geumseong Group
and the U.S.-based Caltex.
