In Barcelona, Spain, Kixx made its first appearance at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, one of the world’s largest annual mobile and IT exhibitions.

As AI moves toward AI agents and real-world operation at scale, AI data center(AIDC) thermal management has become a key challenge, and Kixx showcased an immersion cooling solution at the LG Uplus booth.

Key Takeaways

  • AI evolution brings infrastructure into focus: As AI moves beyond simple Q&A toward AI agents that can think and act, stable data center operation has become critical.
  • The cooling challenge: Thermal management has become the decisive factor in AI performance and stability.
  • Kixx’s role at MWC 2026: Kixx was the official immersion cooling fluid partner in the LG Uplus “AIDC empowered by ONE LG” zone.

MWC 2026 at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona

In early March, Barcelona was filled with MWC 2026 attendees heading toward the Fira Gran Via exhibition center. Mobile World Congress (MWC) is one of the world’s largest annual telecommunications and mobile technology exhibitions — and it is often mentioned alongside the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) as a key event where global tech and future trends are first introduced.

Against that backdrop, Kixx made its first MWC appearance through a partnership with LG Uplus, participating in the “AIDC empowered by ONE LG” zone. There, Kixx showcased an Immersion Cooling Tank demonstration that translated the AIDC conversation into something visitors could see: high-heat computing and the thermal management challenge it creates.

Why Is Thermal Management Becoming More Important in AI Data Centers?

At MWC 2026, under the theme “The IQ Era,” AI was increasingly presented not only as something that answers questions, but as AI agents — systems that can think, decide, and take action to help people complete tasks.

As AI becomes more capable and handles more complex requests, the computers that power AI services — data center servers — run harder and generate much more heat. That is why thermal management has become a critical issue: how reliably this heat is removed can directly affect AI service performance, efficiency, and stable operation.

How Did LG Uplus Present the “AIDC empowered by ONE LG” Zone?

At MWC 2026, LG Uplus set up its booth to show not only AI services, but also the data center infrastructure needed to run AI in the real world — including power, batteries, power distribution, and cooling technologies.

In the “AIDC empowered by ONE LG” zone, the focus was on liquid-based cooling as a practical way to address the high-heat conditions created by high-performance AI servers. Key elements showcased in the zone included:

  • Immersion cooling: GS Caltex/Kixx, GST
  • Direct liquid cooling: LG Electronics
  • Batteries: LG Energy Solution
  • Power distribution / grid infrastructure: LS

Why Immersion Cooling — And What Did Kixx Show on the Floor?

The Immersion cooling demonstration was a highlight of the zone, thanks to a high-performance server operating while fully submerged in Kixx’s immersion fluid, making the concept of “thermal management” instantly tangible.

Immersion cooling is a next-generation cooling technology where heat-generating electronics (servers, batteries, etc.) are cooled by direct contact with a non-conductive (dielectric) fluid. Compared to traditional air-cooling systems, it is gaining traction as a superior solution for delivering higher energy efficiency and supporting stable operations in high-heat AI environments.

At the exhibition, visitors raised practical questions — such as fluid composition and service life — showing that immersion cooling is being considered beyond a new technology and as a practical solution that can help address thermal management challenges in AI data centers.

Kixx Immersion Cooling Solution: Data-Driven Validation for Dielectric Stability  and Thermal Management

At the showcase, Kixx highlighted dielectric safety and thermal performance based on measurements collected in real operating conditions.

  • Dielectric Stability:

The core of immersion cooling lies in perfectly maintaining its dielectric properties, and Kixx has proven its products’ dielectric stability through rigorous empirical tests conducted in actual operating environments. In a 12-week precision measurement of dielectric strength and volume resistivity of the “Kixx Immersion Fluid S 5,” the results showed that robust performance was maintained above initial levels throughout the entire measurement period, supporting safe operation in an immersion environment.

Furthermore, Kixx Immersion Fluid S supports operational stability while minimizing its impact on human health and the environment. It is primarily formulated with polyalphaolefin (PAO) — a key material utilized in cooling fluids for fighter jet electronics, lubricants for pharmaceutical and food manufacturing plants, and cosmetic ingredients — and features a high flash point of over 250 degrees Celsius.

  • Thermal Management That Delivers Stable Operating Temperatures:

In high-heat environments, the practical question is whether server and system temperatures remain stable within target ranges. In the same evaluation, server performance trends indicated that key temperature curves remained consistent without significant fluctuations, while rack system performance showed tank and system temperatures quickly entering a stable zone and staying within a consistent band during operation — supporting the case for immersion cooling as a thermal management approach for high-density computing.

As AI continues to scale, the AIDC layer becomes the foundation of real-world AI performance. With thermal management rising in importance, Kixx will continue to expand and refine its immersion cooling portfolio — supporting broader applications across relevant industries.
